2011 Nissan Juke Crossover

The new 2011 Juke that joins Nissan’s lineup of crossovers has a weird appearance. Many say that this is the reason for its appeal and why it’s selling quickly. In the four months since the Juke’s launching in Japan, Nissan has either sold or booked about 50,000 Jukes worldwide. In its domestic market, Nissan has received 20,000 orders. This is a huge deal especially considering that Nissan was expecting monthly sales of only 1,300 units in Japan. However, most of the orders come from Europe, with 30,000 orders received so far.

Meanwhile, Nissan has gotten 17,500 orders in the US, where the model is set to start selling this week. Akihisa Suzuki, Nissan's Global Chief Marketing Manager for the Juke, said that the demand is reflective of how customers regard its “innovative concept and value, breaking barriers in what is considered an all new category.” Suzuki added that it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Juke’s stylish design has “capture[d] people’s hearts.”

Suzuki said that by integrating the appeals of a sports coupe and crossover, Nissan offers a whole new experience and will amaze drivers with its “agility and smart body motion control through advanced technology." In the US, the Juke will be equipped with a single engine choice, the 1.6l Direct Injection Gasoline (DIG) Turbo, which has an output of 188hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.

No Joke, not with sales figures like that.
As I've said, the Juke might be like the Ford Mustang was
when it hit the dealer showrooms back in 1964. A vehicle
that was new and different, and appealed to the masses.

At the very least, I see it like the Mazda Miata, A-M Mini, PT Cruiser,
'new' VW Bug, etc.; all were vehicles that were a big hit when first
introduced and everyone had to have one....

I've been a Valet for a long time now parking all sorts of cars. The only ones that ever truly impress me are the ones way out of my price range.

The Juke has changed all that for me. I'm so excited to get one I just can't stop thinking about it. Part of me just wants to go out and buy one just to have it. But I want to make sure I get the one I really want so I won't have any regrets. To buy the gunmetal gray would be ok but then I would see the cayenne red and wish I had waited. Having an SV would be nice but with no leather seats I will have wished I bought the SL. So here I wait for the Juke I want.

I'm with you there Fairburne. I also wanted a Red SL with Red interior and almost settled for a color because nobody had any available. I got lucky after the third week and got almost everything I wanted. Red SL CVT, but with Silver interior. I didn't want to wait 3 months for one with the Red interior

Good luck!

 That's Funny! I agree with you, since I first saw the Juke I've been wanting to get, and also have been thinking about it ever since. I know I also want to Juke SL AWD in Red with Red Interior. I knoe they are hard to finf since I red that this year Nissan only made 25,000 units. I live in Florida so dealers only got between 10 and 15 units and they are selling faster than Pancakes. But I wont give up on my Juke Hunt! So wish me Luck! :-D

Don't forget you can always get aftermarket leather and heated seats. We didn't want to wait, especially when we found the color we wanted (Sapphire Black) with the nav package, so we got aftermarket leather/heated seats, and they are awesome! I am so glad I didn't have to wait, b/c we were able to get it right before our big snow and the AWD-V was awesome! I love it!
