Hello guys,
I wanted to ask you if anyone had problems with their A/C.
Whenever i start my A/C it makes a "cling" sound. It is quite loud. I don't know if this is normal or not.

Hi edgeman55,
I will try to take mine to the dealer also, maybe next week. If you get there before me please let me know the outcome. Did you wife start hearing the noise all of the sudden? I don't remember hearing it when i bought it. Thanks |

I did not have the time to take mine in yet.
It still makes a loud sound when i start the AC. And it also takes a wile until it goes to full cold air. I hope i can get it in next week. |

Just to let you know garage came back and said it needed recharging nothing in it, wanted to charge me £69 to refill it as you can imagine I protested very loudly and they are now going to it for free. And yes I have had it for 4 months only might be wise to check yours out.

The "clunk" sound when the AC compressor first comes on is normal. Read your owners manual. It's in there.

I also needed an A/C recharge within 6 months, although all worked fine when the car was just new. The dealer added some tracer fluid so that they may find the leak with an UV light, if there is any leak. It's now still fine though, after two months. Probably it's a metal ring connection somewhere that expands a little when the car gets hot (e.g. parked in the sun) and then doesn't close perfectly anymore.
